My family owned this establishment from 1973 until 1998. George (the current proprietor) took over and continued the high standards set by my parents (& me ) to this very day. THE BEST fish & chip shop in North London and they've got the awards to prove it!

This is a takeout fish and chips restaurant. No seating accommodations. The food was delicious, the service was appropriate given if you walked in and ordered, you needed to wait. That said, the order taker was smiling and kind. I would recommend their food. The chips were fresh cut and deep fried and the fish was not overwhelmed in batter. Just remember you need to pay additionally for the tartar sauce. We buy again.

This place has got to be the best fish, chips, sausage, etc in the whole of London. It is a shame that George is getting on a bit and will be sad if he retires. We know what will happen then, it'll never be the same afterwards!

Food was genuinely some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in the whole of London. Everything tasted really fresh and you can tell a lot of love and care have been put into the food. George, the owner was a really nice person who took the time to have a conversation with you and seem to really care about his customers and your order. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. The day I visited was slightly odd however, a woman wearing underwear made out of bin liners and a sticker that said “Hello! My name is Hayley” and a sunflower lanyard with lipstick smeared over her face came in and started shouting at the fried chicken saying “I know you work for the government, why are you burning the chips?!” Luckily the owners did everything they could to comfort the woman and get her an ambulance who carted her away. Odd scene, but that’s Edmonton for you. Will definitely be visiting again.

I’ve been looking for a decent fish&chips shop in Enfield for a while and so decided to go check this place out. After getting Cod, chips & peas tonight I’d say this is the best traditional fish’n’chip shop in North London.
